The Antenna Aims Itself.

SOCA is a motorised rotator and a controller. It turns a directional cellular antenna through 360 degrees, takes a signal reading at twelve positions, and stops on the one that measured best. The second alignment is a task at a desk.

What It Does
  • Scans Twelve Positions
Through 360 degrees, with a signal reading taken at each one. The scan is Cellular Path's, and its comparison sheet gives it as twelve points.
  • Stops On The Best Cell
The controller selects the position that measured best. An installer can override it from the app.
  • Re-Aims From A Desk
The scan is re-run from Cellular Path's app or web portal when the network moves. That is the whole proposition: the second alignment is not a visit.
  • Records What It Measured
Cellular Path's sheets list signal strength, quality and band logged at every position, so the choice can be checked afterwards rather than taken on trust.

Cellular Path's two datasheets give the maximum antenna weight as 80 lb on one model and 100 lb on the other, for what is the same rotator. We publish the lower of the two until Cellular Path confirms one figure. The controller is an indoor unit and carries no ingress rating.
